im fixxing to pick up a 94 hb not positive on model, ne way prev owner had a k20 swap in it and pulled it after getting some tickets or sumthing. back to my question , he swapped a 92 cx motor into it and it wont start. what are some poibilities. he's thinking its the starter relay. i just want a clean daily and with gas being $2.79 a gallonl, that cx is sounding nice.

 

You Positive he had a K20 in it, that would be a lot of work to put it in, take it out then remodify everything back to stock...sounds fishy.

 

yeah, the guy who had it swapped the k20, got busted for racing , got the car impounded, got it back then to pay everything off parted it out. my friend got the shell and put the cx motor in it. the motor is good, its my old one, from another hatch. sorry for the long story and such, but its legit and my friend just hasent had time to fix it so im getting it for dirt

 

could be the relay, there's alot of things that it could be. the car doesn't do anything when you hit the key?

 

yeah there was a kill switch i believe so some of the ignition wires are cut? hope thats all it is

 

okay i had some time to mess with it today. i replaced the harness that goes from the ignition to the fuse box. everything comes on like lights door ajar beep thing all cluster lights, but the car wont crank or tuen at all. but it was ticking from the relays/ fuses on the pass side of the car. could it be the starter?
