well i give up. i have done everything. my engine idles up and down when cold and when it warms up its a little better but not to how i want it. i done everything. check cleaned and replaced iacv, cleaned the whole TB, i removed the fast idle thing under my tb and cleaned that *****. looked for leak in vacum lines, nothing seems to help and no one i know, knows how to fix it. im geting pissed. taking it to honda is my last option but i know its gona cost alot. so you guys think they can figure it out? almost everyone with a honda i know has the same problem, but no one knows how to fix it. oh well if worst comes to worst maybe ill just try switching the whole intake manifold.
How much does the idle fluctuate by? It could be a bad map sensor I guess. My friend had a similar problem, but we never got to try the new map sensor since he blew the engine on the way back from getting it =P
try new TB and manifold gaskets. make sure all the bolts are equally tight. did u tighten the valve inside the fast idle thingy? bleed ur coolant system, a bubble in your IACV could cause that.

how do you bleed the coolant so there is no bubbles?? i know how to flush the coolant but not so sure if bleeding it is the same. and how do you tighten the valve inside the fast idle thermo valve? i put in new gaskets already but no help. my Tb is fine i am 100% sure of that. everything is nice and clean i dont know why it wont work right????
I had the exact problem with my h22 but fixed it from instructions online. Sorry but I forgot the name of the part I retightened and the search is down. I know that this parts allows air to bypass the throttle plates when it is cold. It's a little hole in the throttle body.
I had to take apart a little assembly and tighten a loose plastic piece.

there is a small valve to bleed the coolant. this needs to be open when filling your engine with coolant. i think u can still bleed it even though its full. what motor is in your car? so i can tell u where its at.
inside the fast idle, the is a big white valve with a long opening for a flathead. turn it to your right to tighten it. tighten it all the way down but don't torque on it.
