Default 89 civic gauge cluster

I have an 89 civic hb dx gauge cluster, and it comes with a tach. I recently installed glow gauges and the needle on the fuel level gauge snapped off. So now i dont have a fuel gauge and im tired of keeping track of how many miles ive traveled. Would it be possible to just buy a whole new gauge cluster??? Would the fuel level gauge re adjust to how much gas I have?

This is a HUGE help, thanks for any feedback.

You could check into buying a new needle-does Honda sell single needles?

My advice to you would be to get another gauge cluster. Fill up your car before you swap the clusters. That way you know that the fuel gauge will be accurate.

thats what i was planning to do in the first place. I just want to know if it will work without having to change out the fuel sender or something.

No, you will not have to change anything. I know when I changed mine the first time, I messed up the gas gauge. I didn't have a chance to get gas yet, so what I did was put the gas gauge to E and started the car. The gauge went right where it was suppose to be.

either go to the junkyard to grab a needle itself or just get new clusters and switch the mileage over from the new one to the old one... and yes the fuel will reset to where its suppose to be
