When to change the timing belts?
I have a 98 Acura CL. People say it's like the Hondas (which would be logical). When do you change the timing belt on them. Someone told me 105,000 miles. I currently have 70,000 on it. Thanks.
They didn't lie to you, 105k miles would be the suggested milage; consider earlier if you do a lot of around town driving. You should also replace all the seals and water pump at the same time.

i totally agree........keep in mind that if you do a lot of city driving,, while you are sitting at stop lites or behind traffic the miles in the odometer will not add up,,, but the engine still runs,, meaning t-belt actually has a lot more miles than what is in the odometer ...
If you reside in a hot climate Arizona. Nevada etc etc i would do it even sooner than 90k.. heat will make rubber components crack faster

IF you are concerned about the t-belt, you can inspect it or have someone familiar with Tbelts inspect it.....
Honda figures that people will do a mix of city and highway driving when the issue the change recommendations. They do say to inspect it on a regular basis as well...
