depends on what you normaly drive if you have a porche tthen yes it would seem slow if you drove a fiesta then it would apear to haul a$$ but its realy not that bad i like mine its get up to autobahn speed decently and can cruise at about 85 without problems and all i have done to it power wise is an aem cai
its worth test driving the newer models are a bit faster but more expenisive theres thing i like about both but cant recomend either more i like um both but cant aford them both right now but wish i could

The newer ones definately have plenty of power. Especially a 5 speed. It's actually very quick for an AWD SUV. If your planning on having it packed with people I reccomend a Second generation 5 Speed.

My mom's did fine when I packed 7 ppl in it not including myself (the driver). I had to pick up drunk friends at some club. I had no problems on the on-ramp. Its an 03 automatic.

For those who will ask how:
1 driver
1 in passenger up front
4 in row seat
2 in trunk
