what are the difference performance, exterior and interior? Dont need to no about the motor. performance i wanted to no like brakes, suspension, etc...
thanks
thanks
crx si has 4 whell disk, sunroof, front and rear sway bars, HF however is like 300 lbs lighter and can accept all of the stuff that crx si has. the only thing i like about the Si is the sunroof :D lol but hf is light and already multipoint.

HF has smaller brakes and hubs up front the dx and si..
All si's have sunroofs..Some Hf's have sunroofs, not sure if it was factory option or what?
Si comes with the sway bars stock..
Seats are different..
Door panels are different
Hf doesnt come with complete rear interior ,,while the si and dx do..

stock sway bars? mine doesnt have that and im the 2nd onwer of a 89 si in great shape. hfs might be lights but hacking a moon roof in the like the si's have would be a waste of time and money, si's feel like they r built stronger and look better i dont give a **** what people say my si looks alot different from other stock dx's and hf's by far.
si for the win
si for the win
the hfs with sunroofs are glass, si's all have metal moon roofs on motors, on 91 si's have 4 wheel disk brakes, all si's have black interior and differnt seats/door panels. suspension is pretty much the same shitty honda stuff so its gonna want to be change either or.

Why do you call it shitty honda suspension ? Its great stuff in my opinion..

if you wanna pimp it out or whatever its called get the si...if it was up to me, i would get the HF cause i would swap in something good and take everything out and the hf is already way lighter.
si and hf seats are very different.
if u didn't know..
plus the si seats look better..
sun roof is sick..
I have an 89 si with 298,000 miles and love it..
I had a civic standard for 3 years before I got the si..
I looked long and hard for a perfect si in good condition found it in 3 years..

probably not, my si did I took it out because I wanted to cover the hole up.. not have a speaker so someone can steal it..
if it attracts the eye it has to go..

HF no question. unless your into the asthetic aspect of "tuning" hah.
the hf is just so much lighter in stock trim that its more than worth it to go with it. everything the si can do the hf will do better!! lol ok ok they really are about equal given your gonna want to upgrade the brakes and suspension, and engine on both.
it really all comes down to what you want to do with it.
race/really fast street car(with little lost efficiency) HF
street/good cruising around/can be just as fast SI
its just easier to make the hf faster.

hf has speaker mounts. i know i have a 91 hf that i bought new in 91. i think you have to get a kit to mount the speakers in (i have speakers in my 91 but its been so long since i put them in i cant remember if the bracket was there or i had to buy it).
first off HFs dont not have factory sunroofs...
second is that the HFs DO have spakers in the rear, and the plates, etc
third thing is not all SIs have black interior
forth thing is i would rather have a HF...i have had two and i loved them both, i just swap some disc brakes on them, swap a bigger motor and no si can touch me..hehe

Your kidding, right?
SI's definitely only come with black/grey interior. I'd love for you to find me a SI door panel in any other color, or seat for that matter.
As far as people jocking HF's, most of them are uneducated like the guy above.
HF's are leighter because:
They don't have big motors, they dont have big disc brakes, they dont have all that ****.
You buy an HF, put all that **** on it, and it's going to way maybe 20 lbs less then a SI. The HF's leight weight is based solely on lack of options/equipment. Adding options/equipment is going to take that away.
The only 2 things different on an HF that wouldnt be readily changable is the lack of sunroof and smaller gas tank.

Actually if want to get technical the reason theHf is so much lighter is not because of options it's actually the biggest differnece in the cars, it's the bumper supports. The Hf bumper support is 25 less stock the the Si. Even the JDm bumper support that everyone screams up and down about is only 2 lbs lighter the the 88-89 and 90-91 hf's. The motors dry weight were almost identical the only difference in the hf was the 8 valves and a 1/10 of a liter, and the gas tank was at 10.5 and the si was 11-12gal or something close to that. So it's not b/c of options that were excluded it was just the safety standards.
My vote goes to Hf. It's worth the mess of chagning the front end out anyway. Lighter suspension, same chasis, 90% of the electrical conversion done for you, it's win win.

So, if thats THE reason, none of the other stuff matters, why the hell wouldn't you just put an HF bumper support on the SI?
Thats just a BS claim all around. The bumper support thing may be true, but saying the options have no play in the matter, thats just obvious BS.
You go get a Complete CRX sunroof, sway bars, a stereo, 4 speakers.
Then add in the additional weight of SI: Hubs and brakes, seats, gas tank (plus the weight of additional gas that can be held) as well as the additional weight from all the valves and bigger block (even if it is 1/10th)
Thats going to be a SHITLOAD of weight, far more then any bumper support difference could make, unless one support weights a couple hundred less
BTW In my Owners Manual from my 88 SI it says the gas tank is 10 gallons, and I've never got more then that in there.
