theres a grease boot on the ball joint. but not alot of grease should come from them, if theres grease all over you **** then you should check the cv boot for tears. as for driving w/ bad ball joints, thats up to you. i mean nobody can say that you wont hit a pothole and it just come apart tomorrow, in which case you would most likely veer to that side, hitting any car in the next lane, and possibly causing innocent people injury.

Either your ball joints went to ****, but more than likely the grease is from your CV joint boot ruptured.

New hondas have sealed ball joints that cannot be lubed. There is lube inside them, but the idea is that greasing them just introduces contaminants. The joint is basically just a ball sitting inside a cup. There is lube inisde to pad the metal on metal contact. If the seal is damaged the lube can escape and grit can get in. Its only a matter of time till the ball joint grinds itself apart. After enough time they can separate completely. On even surfaces you may notice the car wanders a bit and needs a bit more correction than normal. ON bumpy roads you could be all over the place.
