hey im in the middle of looking for a new car...im mainly looking into 02 si or a 01 prelude..im also looking at a lexus sc300 to do a swap but thats something else....what car would be better as far as potential in the long run? also which car is more flexible with my goals?
depends on what you want the car for. the newer si might be a better more reliable dd, but the prelude will take mods better and is quicker. although, i still say si because i love mine and hatch's own

This really ends up being a personal decision. I have an ep3 for my DD and am very happy with it. I like the hatch because I work out of my car a lot and I can get a TON of stuff in the back, on any day I will have my laptop, briefcase, a couples boxes of client documents, gym bag, lunch, you get the idea.
I guess I am just a hatch junkie. The other thing to consider is what direction are you going with the car. I have heard that 'Ludes never got a lot of aftermarket support compared to Civics, dont know if this is true or not cause I have never owned a 'Lude.

hey you guys thanks yea ive been looking into ludes or ep3 i like the style of ep3 an love hatchs...i think it might be cheaper on insurance too? can i get an idea on what you guys pay for ludes an ep3's?....im a 16yr old an think lude might be a little much on the insurance.
My friend just got a 99 prelude for his first car and first insurance note. Let's put it this way: It's killing his cash. I say its up to you, but the EP will be a little easier on the wallet at least when it comes to insurance, not to mention the whole K-series parts that are now beginning to become available. Pick whichever you want, I'm a little bias
