depends on what you want the car for. the newer si might be a better more reliable dd, but the prelude will take mods better and is quicker. although, i still say si because i love mine and hatch's own

Any Honda is reliable. Prelude is an awsome car, great handling and h22.

This really ends up being a personal decision. I have an ep3 for my DD and am very happy with it. I like the hatch because I work out of my car a lot and I can get a TON of stuff in the back, on any day I will have my laptop, briefcase, a couples boxes of client documents, gym bag, lunch, you get the idea.

I guess I am just a hatch junkie. The other thing to consider is what direction are you going with the car. I have heard that 'Ludes never got a lot of aftermarket support compared to Civics, dont know if this is true or not cause I have never owned a 'Lude.

My friend just got a 99 prelude for his first car and first insurance note. Let's put it this way: It's killing his cash. I say its up to you, but the EP will be a little easier on the wallet at least when it comes to insurance, not to mention the whole K-series parts that are now beginning to become available. Pick whichever you want, I'm a little bias
