Default ****wants to turn over fine but wont start check this out****

ok so my car would start fine but i needed to change the TB but the new one needed all the lil pieaces like the spring and all that crap...i so changed it all over and installed it and went to start the car. it would start but when u put the peddal to the floor it would accelerate very slowly and the engine would shake bad etc. so i took the TB back off then put it back on and it wouldnt start at all....i jus loooked at my distributor and the inside is loose but is tighten as tight as possibe..i looked at the 2 plugs where u plug the diss. in with the harness and the round one has a tooth missin...but it started up fine like that. everything works...has fuel, fuel pump works, all the vacumes are hooked up corectly nothing looks wrong with it. so does enybody here have eny ideas i could try.

tough to follow your description, but from what i'm getting it really sounds like the distributor... i'd also try and find a new throttle body, but it should run fine with what you have

why did you have to replace you tb in the first place?
also, have you checked to see if you have the map and tps plugs switched?
i bet thats what it is

the map and tps plugs switched? what do u mean...everything pluged right up...and i had to change it b/c one of the vacume lines u plug in the "nipple" was broken off so it wouldnt go on...and without it it would idle and smoke badly.....but what do u mean change the tps and map plugs? i have the old TB on but fixed the "nipple" so it plugs in...it still wont start im not useing the one it came with so it should work..still nothing

simply all i did was take off the throttle body got a new one. swaped all the stuff like the spring and the throttle disc thing. and the other thign with the 2 screws and installed it and it stared but shook very bad and wouldnt accelerate fast. so i took it off messed with it put it back on and it wont start at all....so i put the old one back one...hooked everything up and still wont start...this is unbeleavable...i need to get this started asap...

I used to have that problem when it start slowly even when the paddle is down to the floor and shaked alot. check your timing and the idle screw on the TB. also if you got the plug switch from the map and tps it will idle funky.

FOND OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT! ok so i had my buddy come over and he checked my timing belt..it jumped a tooth...then he told me the distributor wasnt eny good...so i put my buddys dizzy on and it STILL wouldnt start...so we took out the spark plugs and thats what it was...i got to the 3rd one and turns out it was cross threaded and wasnt commin out and ended up brakin in half in the head...so i now i gotta put my spair head on get a new distributor new head gasket and who knows what else...hopefully it'll start then....
