JR supercharger on d16a6 stock?
I dont have the money or knowledge to do a full swap in my 88 si rex. I like the price and "easy" installation of this super charger. Is it worth the money, or what else could a noob do for what it would cost to get this thing. I want more o a torque motor because i like the back road ripping out of corners deal, I know I dont have the money to make a straight line car. What would you guys do motor wise to a stock si rex with about $2500. That is my price range. I am looking right now for a wrecked Si with rear disc brakes. 90 and 91 have the discs right? Please help me out, Im a dumb noobie.
you can bo b-series for 2500 easy... you can also build one hell of a d-series turbo kit but i deffinitly would not go supercharger i hear nothing but complaints about them from people i know personaly... ther all b-series though the d-series could be different
but i would go b if i were you

i have one personally, and i'm happy so far.
if the most you have is $2500 and you plan on driving your car on the streets + drag racing... i'll say YES to the JRSC.
ive done swaps, turbo setups, nitrous setups, and a JRSC... on the street, for your budget, cant beat the JRSC D16a6. you can get a mild B16 for the same price (keep in mind buying intake/header/exhaust... that $2500 wont go far.
you could do a turbo kit too.... but honestly, for light to light... the JRSC would rock a turbo car. unless maybe you ran a small turbo at a higher boost level to try and compensate for the lag, rather than a larger turbo at small boost levels. i scrapped a turbo setup for the JRSC.
lets not turn homies thread into a D vs. B thread. or a turbo vs. supercharger thread.
we're talking BUDGET street car here. of course a turbo B series would be nice, but he's not getting one for $2500 fellas.

Thanks guys for your help. I am just trying to decide what to really do motor wise. I gotta do my suspension too, and I am still kind of lost there. So many things, so little money. I need to win the lottery and get it all over with. The reason I couldnt do a B-series swap is that I couldnt manage all the wiring crap, and I cant let my car sit while I figure things out. It is my daily and that is why I was looking at something I know for a fact me and my dad could do in a day. Any other ideas, even if they arent motor related? Things that make performance difference? I DO NOT WANT RICE, if i wanted that i would go to the chinese buffet. Thanks again guys.
yeah, B series is pretty easy, i mean look..... 50,000 peeps on H-T have a B swap.
if you have ONLY $2500, id say grab that jackson.
but you could also drop in the B and upgrade it later when you come into more cash.
