Default brakes..... very spongy cuase?

recently changed my brake master cylinder. but my brakes still feel very spongy, any ideas on what it could be? and i bled the brakes already do you guys think i should bleed them again?

an is there any way to adjust the gas pedal to go a little further down.... its really high and its extremely hard to heel toe.

unless the master cylinder is malfunctioning it definately an air problem. What procedure did you do?

procedure? as in pumping the brakes? had some one pump and hold while i bled. went from rear passenger to rear driver to front passenger to front driver. maybe i just need to re bleed again... ugh... so messy.

i just did the same thing, sounds like your m.c. might be bad, is it new? Did you perge the M.C. My best advice is to take it to a break shop and get it power bled, you dont want to mess around with your breaks!!! I took my car down to a shop after i messed it all up seemed i had leaking wheel cylinders, so i fixed all that now i got a great responding pedal.

good luck

sounds like you still have air.

did you bench bleed the MC before putting it on? you need to do that before you put the MC on, or else you wont get the air out.

yep benched bled the mc... kinda irritating cuz i cant get my heel toe lined up correctly before i enter a turn because my brakes are so damn low i either over blip the throttle or under blip the throttle.

father figure how much does it cost to get the brakes power bled? ive changed my mc before but just wondering if it worth it just to have a shop do it... oh an yes the mc is new.....

you know, another thing ive heard is that there is an oring on the inside flange of the MC that often gets stuck to the firewall when you remove the old MC, and stays there when you put the new one on. so you now have two orings and may be the cause of the bad pedal feel.

i dunno, worth a check.

bleed you master then bleed your breaks. a lot of air must have entered your system.

yeah it sounds like air in the lines, also you might have to adjust your booster which can be a bitch. Check your helms there is lots of info on it in the break booster section, also adjust your pedals pritty easy just takes time to find the sweet spot. Good luck let us know when you figure it out.

If you need refrence check out the faq's link on the front ef page look for manual's to download.

peace

You have bled your brakes wrong.

1. left front
2. right rear
3. right front
4. left rear

You have proportioning valve on both sides that is way you need to do it in this order.

Also there is a adjustment for the pedal height on the plunger.
