Default 1st gen vs. 2nd gen AEM EMS

i think this is the right form for this....

-does anyone have a picture of them side by side...i would like to see how much smaller the new one is compared to the old one.

-also, is the new one the same as the old one, but just more compact or are there new features?

-reason being i found one of both and deciding which one to buy...because obviously the 1st gen will be cheaper but im wondering if the new will be worth the extra $$$.

TIA

The only difference(obd1 models anyway) is the size and the 2nd gen on has extra coil outputs on it.. I am upgrading mine and getting the 2nd gen one, get the 30-1040u with the intergrated wideband in it..

so it is just the size...what do the coil outputs do? and would you need more than one?

are you upgrading for the extra coil and size or just bececause you want the intergraded wideband in it?

and thank you for you info

The outputs are for direct fire setups.. You can do a wastefire setup with any of the boxes but the newer boxs are needed for direct fire(dont know why you would do that setup anyway).. I am upgrading because of size and integrated wideband..
