It's a pain for someone that hasn't done it before. It's possible without a lift but MUCH easier with one. To access the bolts at the top of the bell housing, you'll need to lower the sub-frame/engine. There are plenty of shortcuts that eliminate the steps in the manual. A good mechanic shouldn't have any problems.

I just finished putting a clutch in a '00. This is the fourth S2Kclutch I have done so it is becoming routine. Get a factory manual and follow it step by step and you won't have any problems. It is time consuming, but if you have swapped motors you can pull this trans.
*One good tip the manual doesn't show is to remove the alternator to access the upper starter bolt.
**Buy a new 6mm allen socket for the drive shaft bolts and I would also buy new driveshaft bolts from Honda...you will most likely round off a few.

It's been done here also.

perhaps the PN difference is in a different liner or whatnot. like they might have made a slight design change to make it beefier or less vibration. but still interchangeable.
i guess what im after is if they are interchangeable, at least will i need to get a new clutch or maybe another pressure plate or something.
