if you use crome or hondata, you can set up the check engine light to come on at a set rpm.

Get an HX and you'll have an upshift light at the most economical point in each gear
But yes uberdata, chrome, etc. all have the Check engine shift light I believe.

there is also adjstable shift lights that you can use.
you tap into the rpm signal and adjust the dial on the back (to tell it when to light up)

similar to this one:
http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-1898.cfm
(i just googled it and used the first link as a reference, im sure there are others for cheaper that work similar)

i used my CEL through neptune.
at first it takes alittle getting used to. (at the top of a 3rd gear 25 psi pull the last thing i want to see is a CEL)
