what are like the top 5 things i should get for my 89 civic. and how much am i gonna run about. (price wise) and performace wise. thanksss<3333
dude the possibilities are endless if you have deep pockets. No need to list a bunch of stuff for you if we don't know what you're working with ($wise) and what the goals are for the car. Come back with specifics.
1. stickers....you can never have enough of them
2. aluminum mega wings...downforce is your friend...thank me later.
3. euro style tail lights...for spanking the domestics in style.
4. led/neon lighting...this one speaks for itself.
5.body kits...the more outrageous the better.

I dunno.... the map to the JDM junkyard would be an invaluable addition to the list of 5...just want to make sure no one forgets about the map and it's importance to the survival of ricers everywhere!

Depends which direction you want to take the car. Daily driver? Autocross car? Drag race car?
Me? First 5 things I did to my 90 were:
1. Coilover system
2. Engine swap to d16z6, OBD 1 conversion MPFI conversion etc.
3. Sway bars front and rear
4. Intake
5. Exhaust
I kind of built the whole car from the ground up all at one time though, so it's hard to say what 5 things were done first.

2. fluid flush and fills 30 bucks+
3. alignment 50 bucks + and/or new tires 150 bucks plus
4. dizzy, alternator, starter, cooling fan, relays, etc in no particular order 1000 +
5. AAA account about 50 bucks/year
total: 1280 bucks up to say 4 grand.

make everything in your car run like its brand new...even if that means swapping...then start building up for boost! honda's arent fast...unless you buy a nice *** one. but even then they're only quick. you gotta go turbo or supercharger if you wanna get anywhere really fast.
