i had a question about an ecu that someone's trying to sell me. he said it's a p28 with a p13 i/h/e/ chip inside, but im not really sure what that means. i know i want a chipped ecu for data logging and such, but i dont know enough about it. he said $160 obo. what would you suggest? and how would this ecu be? thanks a lot

 

for $15 more go to phearable.net and get one chipped for your specific setup with a datalogging port, launch control, and reset vtec switch point.

well here's the thing, im putting it in to an 89 crx so i need a new p28 to put in it since i just did a mini-me swap and im converting to obd-1

Kind of, you still wouldn's have it set up exactly for your car exactly how you want it, I'd say go with phearable.

Yeah, though I got mine 3 days after ordering it. He could probably send it faster if you talked to him about it.

 

well, it would probably have to be like over night or something, so that would probably cost extra. im not sure what i would need to do with the ecu though, as im not knowledgeable about it yet. i figure if i get a chipped ec now, then i dont have to worry about having a p28, then chipping it some time in the future.
