Default Sale Price of 2004 Civic Si?????

Quick question for anyone to answer....

I have an '04 Civic Si that I wanted to try and sell privately. I love the car but want to sell it because I would get more than a dealership will give me, and them put the excess that I owe on it to put toward an '06 Si.

Here is what I have in the car...Injen Cold Air Intake, Tanabe Muffler, SLR performance chip, Clear Euro Style front/rear sidemarkers, Kenwood head unit, 12" Sub in bandpass box powered by a 1000 watt Rockford Fosgate amp, 17" gunmetal rims with Hancook 250/45/17R tires (rims and tires are only a month old with about 800mi on them) and car itself is only coming up on 20k miles. ((A total of close to $4k with the performance upgrades and stereo system))

Basically, I want to try and sell it for $19-$20k and was wondering if anyone thinks that's too much to ask??

Please let me know what you think and what you may recommend.

Below are pictures of the outside of the car and the engine.

Seems really high to me. I wouldn't expect to get money for the modifications if I were you. IMO you'd be better off returning it to stock, selling the aftermarket parts and then selling or trading the car (in stock or near stock form).

For 18-19 someone wouldn't buy your 04, they would buy the 06 w/ tons of better features. Besides, most Si's are selling for about 16k on Autotrader with that money miles. Sorry about the mods, but its your choice to mod you car. Nobody pays extra for mods now days.

Yeah as stated above I've been looking at them for sale as I was possibly in the market for one not too long ago, there's a bone stock 02 selling for 12.3 in the HT forums, a bone stock honda certified one near me that's an '03 selling for 14, and also as stated above even with mods i'm not seeing someone wanting an older car even 2 years old, for the same price as they could get a brand new SI for.

Your mods are worth somewhere between very little and nothing.......look out very little just left town.

Return the car to stock and sell if for $12-14K, if your miles are in a good range. Then sell all the aftermarket crap for as much as you can. I can tell you from my experience having sold cars for years, that a dealer will give you less with all that stuff on the car and to get anywhere close to what you want you are going to have to find a sucker.

~13-14k depending on the fact that it should be under 30-35k miles.

I have a 2004 with 4k miles, and about 4k invested in it and I would try and sell mine for about 16-17k, just for the heads up based on other prices I've seen for our car. Basically, best idea would be to try and hold out until people realize that our car was pretty rare and end up paying real money for it down the road. Anyways, good luck!
