Rear trailing arm bushings...
Hey guys.
I would like to replace my rear bushings with some HardRace spherical bushings. I've only seen one person with an EK install these, but I'm pretty sure their all the same.
Anyone running them on their CRX, or EF? Anyone know where to get them?

Thanks!
Bryson

ask that guy u saw where he got them. I'm pretty sure they are all the same but your going to need to press/ cut the bushing out then press them in.

these are not made for street use..
they are full spherical bearings..
may just want to go with Honda Replacements or Mugen..
unless your racing.. and have upgraded or planning on upgrading many of the other bushings on your car..

I don't really understand how that makes a difference. If anything it will just make the suspension work more effectively. The only issue I could see, is the joint wearing out, but as long as its lubricated properlly they should last a long time.

Can you explain why this is the case (besides these being possibly a bit stiffer than the stock ones).

there is alot of discussion about if these bushing replacements not letting the suspesion move the way intended, since there will be no lateral movement as the stock bushings allow.
the ride will be harsher..
and may wear out fast if used on a daily basis..
then again you may have no problems with it and love em.

i too would like to know. but the ones you have pictured above are rubber these are spherical(from jhpusa) im undecided i don't see the bid deal in going with spherical for a DailyD
also someone said that the spherical bushings don't allow for lateral movement which in my opinion its the lateral movement that kills the stock pieces, they seem to be made to flex vertically with the swing of the arm, but i think the spherical bushings will give a firmer more true line of travel and road undilations will have less of an effect on steering feedback to the rear. but again thats just my opinion
Why not get an Energy Suspension bushing kit for the EF, they cost under 100$ and they replace all bushings. Replacing all bushing is like buying 100% brand new suspension, night and day difference.

I was told this is not possible... you would need to buy the whole arm...

The Civic 88-00 use the same exact TA bushing. Check the part numbers. In which case means they are all the same size.
I would also not use race only ones for the street. I agree with what Outsane has said.
If you put in a semi air ride seat everything should be just fine though.

Used to be. They now have bolt in replacement bushings.

When you all say laterat movement, do you mean movement along the axis of the cylindrical bushing? If this is the case, I don't see why it would be a huge problem to run the spherical bearings becuase the suspension is meant to pivot in a certain plane, but not actually translate. I couls see the ride being more harsh, but that's about all. I'm not saying I am a guru of CRX trailing arms, but this is just what seems to make sense.

ES bushings are not good for DD? I have a DD that I have and plan on taking to the track often. I have been eyeballing energy suspension bushings for a while is this not a good choice?

You need to look into the Honda OEM replacements or Mugen TA bushing.

I think the hard race are about $250.
