Default Axle Compatibility? DA - DC?

I own a 91 Integra w/ the stock motor and stock tranny. I needed to replace my driver's side axle and sourced another axle from a 93 GS-R. I know it has the ABS ring deal on it, but the spline doesn't match up to mine.

I took a pic of the GS-R spline, and the "ridges" don't go all the way down like my stock LS one, therefore, it won't go in all the way into my transmission.

So my question is this: Am I only to use a 90-91 Integra axle? or is it more like 90-93 integra LS one? Do 94-01 LS axles work?

I also have a 92-93 GS-R B17 transmission on the side, and was wondering if my current passenger side axle will work w/ the GS-R one. Please Help, I feel lost in this subject!!! I can provide pix if need be.

This new axle I got fits perfectly into the GS-R tranny I have on the side. So I just need to know if the 91 LS passenger side axle will work w/ the GS-R one.

noo, the 90-91 tyranny's are different from the 92-93. u need the axle(s) form a 90-91 integra tranny. The gsr and ls tranny for 92-93 are the same except different gears...

edit.. Put the gsr tranny in!!

all manual integra 90-01 are the same. one just has an abs ring and one doesnt with the exception of the jdm honda integra type r. you probably have the wrong side lol

The driver's side axles are the same from 90-93. 94-01 use a different half shaft. My guess would be that you have the wrong axle. The passenger side axle is the same from 90-01. hope this helps

Whoa, so what I see here is one person saying that 90-91's are different than 92-93's.

One other person saying that 90-01's are the same.

And another person saying that 90-93's are the same but different than the 94-01's.

So what is it??

In this country all 90-01 B-series passenger side axles are the same/interchangeable..

For the driver side, 90-93 integra axles are different then 94-01..90-93 integra axle has male joint and the 90-93 integra halfshaft is female.....Where as the 94-01 integra axle has a female inner joint and the 94-01 integra halfshaft is male..

And by the way,, the 94-01 integra,99-00civic si,and del b16 axles are all the same ****..

So then why does the 93 GS-R axle work with the B17 Tranny and not my 91 LS tranny? If you say that all the 90-93 drivers axles are the same?

from my own experience 90-93 drivers axles are the same. the picture you have posted is a passenger side axle.

drivers=full spline

pass=half spline

Yes you can do that..90-93 integra halfshaft with 90-93 integra axle.....or 94-01 integra haflshaft with 94-01 integra axle..Both ways will work..Just have to get the axle that matches the halfshaft..

Not to start a heated debate or anything, i used to work at autozone the part numbers for the passenger sides are different. and i've putten a few g2 passenger side axles into a g3 with no problem but the cars were all slammed so it compensated for the axle length. When we raised the car a little bit it started toclick. I put a g2 axle in a non lowered g3 once and it was clicking like crazy til i lowered it.
