I just picked this badboy up. Its missing interior pieces, seats, 5 lug, head and misc parts. The only thing i need to buy for this car is seats and interior parts before i can get it inpected for the title. Tranny and block still in car . Anyone who done a NY salvage inpection let me know how it when and what to look out for.

Is it missing just the valve cover or ITR head? From what I see in the pics it's just missing the valve cover. I see the whole engine... or most of it anyways. Pretty sweet deal for the price. Keep us posted on the the Overhaul.

not a bad price at all except for the salvage title.. both of my clean title ones came with less for the most part, but cost about the same..

 

I see Florida Tags. I wonder whos R it was in Florida before it got stolen. Can anyone check and see?

looks like a easy rebuild!!

 

NY salvage titles are rough...you will need to schedule an appointment once you have assembled the car and the car will go through a tough inspection. All receits must be present and accounted for. Best wishes on the build.

 

They jumped the fence and stole the head off the car . It worked out for me because they lower the price alot because of that . I plan to buy replacement parts off Hmotors and other jdm stores. Do anyone know if they'll give me a problem with jdm parts with reciepts?

 

Damn, there must be somebody scoping the yard for cars like that to come in. Well at least you got half the motor and a tranny . Is the passenger side door bent? I see the top window area kinda sticking out... bent like.

 

the car is in pretty good condition but does anyone know who it belonged to first cause it still has a fl tag on it and is clear as day to read type r 696 u think u can find out who it belonged to and what exactly happend to it

Good luck wit it as long as u have all the paperwork for your new parts you'll pass yea. I seen that car don't have a head anymore on it, floor on the passenager side is damage, etc, but a good project to work on

As for the NY DMV accepting JDM spec parts...you may want to contact them first...you could be in for a surprise. I have watched them take peoples parts from the car and send them away , it can not hurt to make a phone call and ask....or maybe if the JDM parts have a VIN with them you'll be alright...ask the NY DMV for sure.
