Default WTT: 1998 BMW 540i 6-speed for your 96-00 OEM/swapped hatch + cash

Getting married next year and need to start saving money. This is the nicest car I've ever owned, but I can save quite a bit on gas money and insurance if I switch to a civic.

This car is FULLY LOADED. Black on black leather. Options:

Factory Xenons (Rare for '98)
M-Sport Package (1" lower, sport suspension, 6-speed manual trans, sport seats)
Winter Package (Heated STEERING WHEEL, heated seats, heated mirrors)
Premium Package (Multifunction steering wheel, pre-wired for phone, DSP 12 speaker audio with 2 subs, 6-disc changer)
Ski-bag pass through

Standard Equipment:
One touch EVERYTHING (all 4 windows full auto up/down, and sunroof)
Factory alarm with keyless entry and remote trunk pop
Full on-board computer (range, 2 mpg's, 2 trips, stopwatch, date, time, outside temp, service intervals, etc etc)
Dual Zone climate controls, and rear climate controls

Basically this is THE top of the line E39 540i. It has everything except Navigation (that was UBER rare on 97-99's). The vehicle sold for around $60k new.

My car has never seen a dragrstrip and is completely bone stock, never modified or molested. The car has 282hp and 324ft/lbs torque. The car runs a 14.0@99mph bone stock (according to magazines, etc), and the only time I've really gotten on it was a stoplight run against a new 350Z. He got the launch on me, but I reeled him in easily and would have had him by at least 2 cars in a q/m race. The engine is very healthy. I also work for BMW, and the car gets nothing but the best dealer treatment and maintanence.

Anyway, I'm selling it for $14,500 outright, but I'd like to kill two birds with one stone and trade for an EK hatch + cash. Obviously make an offer based on what you think your car is worth + the difference. FWIW, Private Party Blue Book value on my car is $15,300 and Suggested Retail is $18,950. The 6-speeds are RARE and usually go for more than PP blue book.

I'm only considering trades if they:

1) Have NO RUST
2) Have A/C (may be non functional, or a swap without a compressor, but must be a factory A/C car)
3) Have complete clean interior (may be integra or other as long as it's clean)
4) Have no CEL or SRS lights (missing 02 light okay)

Things I *really* want but am flexible on:
1) Power options
2) Complete OEM-like running swaps
3) Dark gray/black dash/interior

I'll show you mine, if you show me yours! :

105k miles.

Dig the hatch... Does it have A/C? If not, did the original car have A/C and was it all removed?

How much are you looking ot get for your car?

All the lines for A/C is there...but there is no compressor. All you need is the compressor.

I am still taking offers on my car.
The most i can add cash with the trade is 2500

so you let me know if you want to trade.
Thanks

Man, sell that thing on your own. You could totally get $18,000 for that thing. I know you want a hatch and all, but damn, get your monies worth. Just a thought.

I'm seriously considering it. My dream daily driver is an EK hatch with 99 Si front, Type-R swap, in championship white with lips. 5-lug conversion and disc brakes with clean teg interior and EX power everything.

It would cost me too much to do all that to a bone stock hatch, so I'm trying to scout out some already swapped hatches. I have a hook up for the paint, and some of the conversion stuff, but it'd be nice to get one that's just done.

I have over 1000 hours into my MR2 project and it takes all of my wrenching time (built stroker, head, cams, everything).

For my DD I'd like a swapped hatch that is close to stock (I/H/E/clutch) to retain reliability and mileage while still making >150whp.
