Did you clean out your egr system? EGR Ports getting clogged is a very commom problem with these cars
1. you have to remove injectors and fuel rail
2. drill out rivits holding access cover on intake
3. clean out EGR passages using pipe cleaners along with with intake cleaner (or brake fluid if you take the intake OFF)
4. clean the access cover
5. clean EGR valve
6. drill and tap threads for 2 10MM bolts about 2 cm long where the rivits were holding the access plate on

Yeah, get that checked out. There was another thread not that long ago, of someone with a similar problem regarding bad gas mileage, after he changed alot of other things, it turned out to be the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor in the end.

id say try that egr port cleaning and get that ect sensor ryt that it worked on mine you can try that seafoam only costs 6 bucks but that wouldnt be the problem it to big
gonna try see foam...i cant see it being my temp sensor because my car wamrs up pretty good... the fan comes on after i turn off the car...never wen the car is on...but thats another story...ay other suggestions?
The Engine Coolant Temp sensor has nothing to do with whether or not your car is warming up or gettintg hot. If the ECT is bad, your performance will not suffer, but your economy will. It is the sensor that tell your computer that the engine is warm and to allow sensor input to control fuel and fire. If it is bad not only will you be running on a rich fuel map, but your EGR will not be enabled and your O2 sensor will not be allowed to lean the mixture either.
wouldnt this turn on my cel?? and if not how do i kno if it is bad? where is it located... i will take it off and puit a new one on... thanx for the help guys keep teh responses coming
