Symptoms of bad iacv

What are the symptoms? I dont have a check engine light. Vtec doesnt engage, it has plenty of oil, water temp is good.. I did a ecu swap on my ek hatch mini me. I swap the wire on the ecu b6-b23.

Take the iacv and spray fuel injection system cleaner in there and clean it the hell out to see if it makes whatev better.

if its a bad IACV the idle will surge as the ecu tries to correct what the IACV should be doing. when you drive the car, load on the engine, the surge goes away
