Yes i searched vss and couldnt find any solid help

i have '85 crx that has been fully converted to OBDI b16 (hence why im asking you guys for help). The cluster in the car is the stock crx cluster (mechanical vss)

The vss on the tranny is electrical.

The speedo has never worked and it never really bothered me becasue the car ran flawlessly and never threw a code. plus its a weekend car now and not a daily

But now ive gone turbo and have a basemap crome chip and its throwing the vss code. My tuner doesnt really want to tune the car with it throwing this code so im trying like hell to fix it but have no idea what could be wrong.

to my knowledge even if the speedo isnt working the ecu can still get signals from the e-vss correct?

So what could be causing the code? Is it is possible my all motor chip was burned to not look for a vss and therefore never through a code? Can my tuner tune around this in crome?

Any ideas?
