is there way you can make 90-91 tail lights fit on a 88-89 rex without any fabrecating or any major change's?

 

you should not have to make and changes. do you?

 

well my buddy has a 90 and we tryed putting them on mine cuz i just like those way better (i have an 88 by the way) and they just didnt seem to line up right like they were smaller.

Huh, that is odd cause I have a 1991 CRX and I have 88 tail lights on mine. They just fell right in. They must have made your car different than everyone elses.

 

You should have no problems putting those on, i got an 89 dx and i put on 91 si's, just bolted right up. If they look smaller it might just be the design, the 90-91's have a thick black border around them giving it a thinner look. good luck.

They are interchangeable. No modifications required.

I've ownes 2 '88 CRXs and I replaced both taillights with '90-91 style. Bolts in the same as originals.

 

wow i dunno maybe im just a tard lol anyways i just got a set and u guys were right they fell right in. thanx guys.

I have an 88' crx Si, when I swapped in tailights from a 91, I had to use the plugs from the 91'.

Mines an 89, they fit right in also, but yes, needed the 90-91 style plugs. Maybe your car was in a previous accident, so parts don't fit properly.

 

My friend has an 88 HF with 90-91 tail light, so it should fit without any problem.

yep 91 tails fit onto 88-89 cars. There was something weird about the wiring.

I cant remember if i used the 88 harness but swapped sides or used the 91 and swapped sides... o well, im pretty sure i had to swap right to left and left to right for some reason.
