Sync 200. They don't make the 180 anymore.

i have a 180sd, it is fine. they didn't have the 200 when i bought mine, if they had i would have gotten the 200 for sure- you can run a watercooled torch on it i believe.

the 200sd replaced the 180sd but you can still buy the 180sd's while supplies last.

Go with the syncro200, its just a little more. Unless you can find a 180SD for cheap.

Check for http://www.airgas.com They have reasonable prices actually, compared to 4-5 welding suppies stores around my area. They are a nation wide company, if you want it locally. I had good experience with them, other dont. Most can match any online prices to, only that uncle sams a b!tCh.

I have the 180SD, bought it used from a member here and I'm very happy with it. I have only used it for aluminum so far and it seems to be just fine for that. I too just wanted a cheap(ish) welder to use in the garage for intake manifolds, IC pipes, brackets and later some stainless/mild steel exhaust manifolds.

we had a 180 for about 8 months. once the 200 was released we immediately upgraded to that unit. im hoping to purchase a 350 in the near future once i gather the funds and keep the 200 for low amperage duty.
