s2000 with 17" regamasters?

Who's the distributor? Not an easy wheel to come by. Last I remember, the 17 and 18 sizing/offset were geared for the RX7. You'll need at least an offset of 60mm to run a 9" wide rear wheel. The 45mm offset for the front 8" wheel will cause tire rubbing.

I have 18x7.5 +42 and 18x8.5 +45 and I have no rubbing issues. So theoretically, if there is no difference from 17 to 18, the 17x9 +45 would work on the front but the rear would need a minimum of say +50. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still learning on a daily basis.

well thas is truuue, but not necessarily. Silverdc2-ap1, Its an agreesive offset (which im gonna plan on doing) but thas how G's roll, hahaha.
It'll most likely rub if your on stock body, so I suggest you run rolled fenders so u can stick the recommended tire size under there, unless, if you don't want to roll the fenders, u can get away with stretched tires. Only problem is if you do, u'll give up give up a lil cantact patch, but i don't think that'll be problem. People are running the ol skew Blitz wheels at 17x8, 17x9 +45 all day long. Get these RegaMasters. I'd envy your silly ***

there should be no difference in offsets from 17 and 18.
As for the 17x9 +45 for the front, that is waaaaaaaaay pushing it. They say recommended offset for a 9' wheel is a +63 for the Rear. BUUUT, 17x9 +45 In the front is possible as well as the rear. THat shiet looks F'n hot!
Penguin on s2ki is running 17x9 +45 with 255's x4 all around on Enkie RPF1!

Yea, no difference b/w 18 and 17 wheel diameters. Are you at stock height? Even at stock height, there is the chance of rubbing on a hard compression bump or high speed cornering at the track.

Stretched tires? If it's looks you're going for, there's nothing that looks worse than a narrow tire on a wide wheel. Might as well run 100mm spacers, 13" gold spoked wheels, and hydraulics to three wheel around the intersection yo!
Running a 8.5" wide rear wheel with 47mm WILL rub on 255 width tires on a stock car. Just b/c a few guys in Japan run 17x9 wheels front and rear doesn't mean everyone should. They've got different shock valving, spring rates, and sway bars that compensate for the added grip in the front and equal grip in the rear.

Understood, but im juss telling him if does or doesn't work.
His regamaster's in this case will work. Juss some minor tweaking he should be set.

Regamasters are my favorite wheel too, nice simple design, light and very strong. It's just too bad they don't fit right. You can get anything work but that doesn't mean it's the best way. It's always easiest to get the right offsets than to modify the car to fit the wheels. The wheels should always fit the car first.
