I did mine. Tha is my car on the thread. I made sure I did not put alot of tint on and everything is very visible... these pics do not do them justice
LOL this is what ws on there when I got the car

My freind had a old set from his car that were painted over. I had to sand out all the lines so I also took off all the DOT lettering and made everything smooth. Sprayed a very light coat of tint in an even manner. Then I sprayed a assload of clear coat. Then just wet sanded it all smooth then polished it all up

1 use 600 grit on a sanding block to get rid of the lettering if you like
2 switch to a finer grit like 800 and make sure all is smooth. then just spray the amount of tint you want on.... I really recomend very little.. and spray it all even
3 Once it is dry, spray a few coats of clear.... the more coats you use the deeper it will look as far as sheen.
4 Wet sand with some something above 1000 grit,,, then finish with 1500 and make it smooth.
6 Last get some Meguires auto polish then polish by hand to a puuurrrty shiny finish
And this is the stuff you need. Most parts store will sell it

I think I spent less than $20 on everything

yup... if you do not like it you just sand it all off.... then you can just go down to a fine grit then polish them out... or just clearcoat them
