b18 or b20?

Default b18 or b20?

ive got an 88 crx DX.. i have a b18 but i know a guy who is selling a full b20 swap for really cheap.. which would u guys recomend? both motors are low kms and run really strong. i was just wondering if there are problems i should look for and such? thanks a lot

Both are good. B20's are prone to crack sleeves if they are abused. For everyday street duty and 8000-8200rpms or less you will be fine with either.

why buy something you don't need if you already have a motor.

well.. the b18 needs probly 600 dollars worth of stuff to get it to where i want.. but the b20 already has some upgraded parts.. and i could pick it up for probly the same price with a tranny that the b18 would be.. i was just wondering what the best one for my dx would be.. im looking to get power and preformance. i know they are both really good motors..

go with the b18 and make your modifications and then after its fixed just run a turbo to it

if you already have the ls in the car i would just stick with that... you say you need 600 to get it to where you wanna be thats enough to put a vtec head on it..

ls/vtec is bad *** in a crx

so is a crvtec

b20....JUS becuz theres a lil bit more power there....i mean the 18 is fyne too....but it dont really matter...all on wat U wanna do....my thought....the 20...haha
