Default sputtering and hesitation at 5000 rpm

hey wats up.. i have a Usdm itr in my 92 EG and once i crack vtec at 5,000 rpm it sputters and hesitates from 5k to about 7200 7400 rpm. Once im past 7200-7400 vtec is strong and it seems normal and doesnt cut out and sputter anymore.. i have no check engine lights...some1 said it could be a tps sensor?? any ideas or suggestions.. PLEASE leave me some feedback on wat could be the problem.

Check your distributor rotor. Sometimes if it's loose it wil cause that problem at hight RPM's, or rotation of the distributor rotor.

This has happen to me before. and cured the problem.
