A good swift kick in the nuts sounds in order. Have him paint it black. What the hell is wrong with this guy...he got some left over green sitting around?

black is one of the hardest colors to paint, ask any professional. you can see all the flaws in the paintjob if its done half-assed. Also, hes probably telling you that cuz he might be thinking he'll have to paint the engine bay and door jams. But other than that, you should always take out stuff like the lights and taillights for painting, not that hard. tell him you can do the dissassembly and reassembly if he doesnt want to.

update. i called him and he didint return my calls. so i spoke to his brother, they both work at the auto body shop, and i grew up with these guys.

anyhow. his younger brother said that he thinks that his older brother dosent want to paint it now. thats why hes asking me for more money. casue he knows im not gonna pay that much,

reason being that he dosent need the money, adn would rather spend time with his girl.

however the younger brother does need the money caseu hes trying to move out of his house. so he said expletive it ill paint it for you just get the clear.

however he wont do a color change and definetly not black. he told me any type of green for about 600 bux, and some clear. hes also doing some light bodywork on the dings, and sanding down previous rust repair.

does that sound like a good deal? i really am gonn kick the older brother in his nuts. hes always acting like a ******* doucheback

600 sounds like a maaco special to me. A body shop doing quality work with quality paint products would change 2000 min. to spray same color and wet sand/ wheel it. PPG or dupont clear is gonna run ya 180-250 for 1 gallon. Or you can get some omni crap for dirt cheap and watch it turn yellow as it dries. Same with the actual paint: for a good primer, and sealer ( assuming he is going to do this the proper way), and basecoat you should be looking to spend 350-500 for supplies if you go with ppg or dupont. Everyone I know that goes with cheap paint regrets it down the road. I am a painter and just resprayed my integra 05 nsx yellow and used Matrix paint which is chemically the same as PPG but 30% less in cost. I painted all the jams etc etc. I purchase the paint through my jobber and the cost for: primer, sealer, base, and clear was roughly 650. I put on 4 layers of clear. That was the cost of just supplies with me doing all the body work, prep, paint, wet sand and wheeling. Remember the old saying you get what you pay for. Are you just looking for a paint job that looks good from 15 ft or one that looks good up close?

yo what do people not understand. Im best friends with his lil brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my lil brother goes out with his sister also.

and lastly hes using the shops paint. its not his!!!!!!!

when the boss leaves he goes to town on my ****.

so hes not paying for anything. its just his labor that im paying for. and 100 dollars for the clear. at a reputable shop. ive seen his work and its good.

he also painted my dads navigator. and my dad is a bitch about that car. and he was very satisfied. he charge my dad 300 for a fender pull and paint.

hes chargin me 700 for my whole car casue im his boy!!!!!!

i just got a call and lil bro got big bro to do it for 700 (that includes the clear) ill take some before and afters.

also there doing my cousins car, its already primered. there just waitin on the boss to be gone for a weekend. possibly this one.
