Default HELP! Top Dead Center Sensor Throwing Code

My car's been idleing kinda low lately and it's been turning over alot in the morning when starting up (takes a while)

I checked to codes, and it's a code 8 (TDC) sensor. I then checked the resistance and it's within spec

I took it to the dealer and they told me that they tested it and it's within spec and they're next test would be a new ECU...

Only problem is that they don't have one and they told me that if it is not the problem, then I don't have to pay... but if it is, they I have to buy the ECU from them for $800!!!! that's more than half of what the car is worth!

Does it sound like that it's the ECU?

Where can I get an ECU for cheap?

What year Accord? I believe in the years below 96 the sensor is in the distributor. I could be wrong on the year though.

Does the resistance change as the rotor turns?

I tested it at the plug, so I didn't rotate it. but it did constantly change while testing (within spec...)
