just wondering is the rsx type S is stealible..? is the ecu the same as the dc2 obd2?

well you need a RSX ECU and the KEY for that ecu. i dont know much after that

 

The ecu and the ign, plus the key. Relay a code back and forth to each other. So something like this... Key has a code programmed in it, like lets say 12345. Which sends to the ign modual and retrives 12345 and says okay or no if it's a match. Then from their it sends it to the ECU if the code matches then your set. Also I know that has-sport does a reprogram on the ecu's that disable the code lock. And i belive the JDM car's do not use the technology. So thus if you had a JDM ecu. It wouldn't check for a code... It's not like the old technology. Where you can unscrew the back of the ign, and pull the ign switch out and turn the car.

it would be alot easier to steal the car then rip out the parts needed, dont sit there in a parking lot bolting on ur own jdm ecu, take the car grab everything then sort out what u dont need and do need..........................im not trying to help u its just that theives are really ******* stupid

some say if they were smart they wouldnt be criminals maybe this will set u on the right path

to answer the question ya u need the key basically but i read the thread posts abouve me so i wont get into detail...................why would u want to steal one anyway? u going to take from someone that earned there motor rightfully? why dont you get a job save up a few thousand and buy one itll be cheaper in the long run

u have vins on motors these days, (grind that sombitch off), ur really not going to pass smog(if u try to get it smoged they see the vin number is grinded) u cant make a fake vin number, u dont have a title to tthe motor, i mean goddamn kid give it up

 

nothing is 'unjackable'..if people want it, theyll take it by all means necessary...but you all knew that already

 

back in the days when i use to goto the street races. i've seen people turn a 3 into an 8 , on the engine serial/vin number clever ****... but still yeah jacking is no, good but it's good to know how to protect your self by block all backdoors possible. but the tow trucks are the key for the cars now adays.

they run it nothing shows up, then they see all the stolen numbers, bam something simalar pops up they examine it then they find the number, jail
