kid i know has a eg with a type r swap and he's not throwing any codes but he said that when he gets to about 5 grand till about 7200 he's getting a bad sputter and like a bog...then after 7200 it comes back to life fine...any ideas on this?...he said he just had a problem with an idle surge...but he tightened the fast idle valve and it fixed it...i don't know if the two problems are connected...probably not...

did he have the problem before? it sounds like a sign of a bad ignitor

 

i'm not sure if he had the problem...i don't think that he did...
