proiblems after timing belt change
i changed the timing belt on my sisters CRV, since then theres been problems. First she said it owuldnt start right away, now it tends to stall when its cold. The best thing i could think of is the crank position sensro. I did mess with it, removed it and reinstalled it, and i disconected hte plug and reconected it. Would this cause the stalling? Does the ECU look at thecrank sensro after sarting? I thought this sensor was only for initial startup and then the dizzy takes over, i oculd be wrong. Does this sound reasonable? Any other sugestions? Would a leaking water puimp cause this? Water acumulating on the botom of the cover while the car sits at night? please help meout, im gonna tear it down again tomorow.
unless its covered is some kinda spray like silicone or the sensor was on its way out and now its intermittenly having issues or its not bolted in corectlly its most likly not your fault the crv's are know for ignition switches going. there is a open recall on the ignition switch i would bring it to honda and let them know. also the ckf sensor would throw a code or just never start.
she also said thta it runs rough until it warms up. I dont know how much i trust that, she might not know whta shes tlaking about.
