Default 1989 si

I was wondering how fast a stock si realy is? See the thing is we went to the track the other day and my friend in his BONE stock gsr ran a 15.5. I wanted to run but my windshield had a minor crack and they said it was a hazard. On the way back home i ask him to do a little 1st through 3rd pull with me so i could see around were i was at. I have a 1989 crx si with a 2.25 cat back, other than that stock. Well bottom line is that i had him by a bumper until half of second then he slightly pulled to half a car by the time i hit the end of third....he told me there is noway all i have is a cat back....i doubt i have any internal work cuz i bought the car for 150 dollars.

My question being how fast is a stock Si?

The Si is usually a low 16 sec car. There are some freak stock motors out there that with a great driver will pull a high 15 stock.

with i/h/e on the a6 you should be able to pull mid 15's to high 15's. depends on how good of a driver you are. and your friend is pulling a 15's on a stock gsr he must be a horrible driver. 14's atleast should be expected.
