Default Noob Tuning Question

Good afternoon all:

I know this is a noob question...all i ask is that if you must flame me, please at least answer my question first.

When it comes to tuning, i always see people talking about Chrome Tuned or Church Tuned, etc. I also see that people run Hondata, AEM, etc. in their vehicle to get it tuned. I have a 94 Vigor and will be boosting soon and I was wondering how i would be able to get my vehicle tuned. I haven't seen any aftermarket ECU's for my car and i've never heard of someone tuning a factory ECU. There is no way that i'm going to boost without tuning, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Any tuning that isn't done on a stand alone such as the AEM EMS is done on a modified stock ECU. You may want to check out Hondata's page and see if they have anything for you're car. The Vigor platform isn't the most popular and you may need to get a universal solution for your car, I don't know if there's any plug and play options for it.

with crome you tune your factory ecu, it's just software to read and alter the values and then burn it to a chip and then chip your ecu
