lol ive oly had a car that ive actually modified for about 2 months lol... i went to vtek autos looking for a gsr... and they were gay... we saw like 3 gsrs there and like 1 civic si... it was a pretty small place probally around 20 cars but only 5 nice ones... anyways there was one gsr with like 80k miles... green (eww) brown leather (eww) manual and the paint was chipping and it was like 9000 bucks or something and we got one of our friends to go up to the guy and say 6000 cash... and the big fat guy who was sitting on the car was all like you got to be shitting me and walked away... he didnt even discuss anything about it... the car was all dented up probally form him sitting on it! but anyways he made us feel stupid and we drove like 1 1/2 hours just to hear that from someone... also he wanted to discuss money before a test drive which i thouht was stupid... well anyways is the junkyard by vtek autos or is vtek autos??? i think they also steal there cars..

Less you check them daily, early morn, you will miss the good things.

Dont take this personal, but I know calli has lotsa mexicans, who lvoe the hondas, who also dont mind droving the yards night and day in search of a cheap deal.

Talking payment b4 a test drive is the stupidest ******* thing, Id walk right there...not even say no thank you.

I think he meant recovered stolen. My sister has a ( salvaged ) civic from there and it is still running strong since 30k miles, it has close to a hundred thousand on it now.

I've had my fair share of deals with the junkshops around there. The two at the bottom think they're all high & mighty dressed all nice with exaggerated prices. it's a junkyard, for the love of...

Personally to get the better deals you'd have to check the shops further up the road, and check them weekly. I bought an LS swap from a shop half way up for $700. 60k miles with everything but ECU & Tranny since it was off an automatic. that's a friggin steal. (no it wasn't stolen because I saw the wrecked car it came out of)

What is "the bottom"? What is "further up the road"? Can you give any recommendations for specific junkyards? Thanks

haha, sorry. (under the presumption that you live in south San Diego.

but 805 south
exit main street >> turn left
drive till the last stop light >> left on to Nirvana
Up Nirvana to a T stop

from there if you turn right there are those places you pay to get into and you can take your own tools and take stuph off cars. good for bolts etc.

if you turn left you'll quickly see a coldisac and on your right will be a poorly paved road upwards like a hill. At the very bottom are the two bigger honda junk shops. they deal primarily with hondas. (also the guys that are likely to rip you) Further up that hill are other various shops for Volkswagon, BMW, Mistubishi etc. Also at the very top are other shops that actually work on cars under the table (IE cash to hand/no paperwork). I've herd good things about them--being highly knowledgable in honda too, but wrench time under the table is a little too shady for me.

IM me if you have any further questions with directions n such.
