so i got my hands on this nitrous system.....
got an older NOS dry kit from my friend in exchange for some labor. its the blue painted bottle. he bought it new 4 years ago and never used it. now it is mine and am wondering if i should use it on my stock crx, with 170k miles on the A6. i will do a compression test before i finally decide to use it. i was wondering what would be the safest way to set this up with out blowing my motor. i dont think i wanna go any more than 40 hp, especially on the stock fuel system. should i buy the wet system conversion? or is that a waste on such a low hp setting? would i need any fuel upgrades? any help from experienced users would be appreciated. wouldnt mind some free power but i dont wanna blow my daily driver to pieces. thanx
Should be fine with a low shot. I personally would upgrade the fuel pump. And put in colder spark plugs.
Also, it will probably spank the clutch, if its stock.
Might want to have the bottle hydro tested before you take the time to put the kit on and find out the bottle won't pass.

thats a good idea to replace the pump and plugs. its gotta have a good clutch cause the 108 hp A6 chirps third with no problem. dont know for sure thou. but why would the bottle be bad. not being used? any other suggestions. should i convert to wet system? thanx

I'm not saying it is bad. Just have it checked before you install it. Most people that refill nitrous, want the bottle up to spec.
