here is my run down on Nitrous

i have a D16Y8 (SOHC V-Tec) with 150,xxx miles in my hatch, clutch, flywheel, short ram intake, exhaust. I have 3 nitrous kits. I have 1 ZEX 50 shot pill, 1 NOS brand kit 75 and 100 shot pills, and 1 Compucar kit with a 125 pill. i mostley use the compucar kit, but as far as my motor goes it is all stock just for what i told you have done. The "ONLY" thing i do when i use my nitrous is Retard my timing ALL the way and run 100 octaine fuel. and my car runs great on it. i have never had any problems out of my motor "knok on wood" and i'm not saying this will work for you. but this is how i run mine. i have 2 10LBS bottles and have probley ran 15 - 20 bottles empty. if you have any more questions feel free to ask me.

100 shot.........

lightweight flywheel and 4 puck clutch = bogged the launches on 22x8x13's, went 13.40 with wrong ECU chip.

85 shot went 13.09 @ 103 running lean, stepped up to 30# ford redtops, went 13.40 @ 103 blowing thru the clutch.

I went thru 26.5 bottles...........main reason I sold the kit, I could no longer get fills for $10 a bottle

yep, had to upgrade the injectors as the stock ones will only SAFELY hold the 65 shot.

I had ZEX man (Matt Patrick) from here helping me, plus ZEXtech (Joey Copeland) from ZEX also.........

All in the tuning.

No matter how good I kept my notes........I still would go back to 55 shot at the begining of each season.

my best on 85 shot, things got slower from there due to parts not holding the power.........

On my mini-me i ran a 75hp shot with a nx wet kit. the car had no problems except for my fuel pump witch starded to not be able to keep up the the demand for fuel.(stock dx pump)

either that or you can't tune (pull timing)..........

26.5 bottle, never hurt a headgasket........

did hurt a piston when the stock injectors didn't keep up, then hammered out the main bearing during a brain fart.

$500 motor and tranny in 1999, I still have the tranny. I got my money's worth

wow eh, 13.0 at 101mph.

Good driver

Just shows my setup could have gone much faster then it did., i was trapping 100mph with a time of 14.4. (na b18c)

Sorry this is completely off topic

im not gona run this all the time just at the track but i still wanna keep my daily driveability

I would guess your high trap speed was due to lack of tracktion and mista's low trap speed was due to slicks.

well, explain to me how a lower reation time will effect my ET.

I could have a 45 second RT and still cut the EXACT same ET's.
