Default JDM d15b Vtec

Dont really no much about them, what are the differences between that engine compared to the other sohc vtec engines? it it even worth swaping in instead of a z6?

one of my friends is selling a EG6 with a JDM d15b vtec motor in it clean title for 1200, i was wondering what do i need to do to it for it to get BAR'd in california?

its not almost identical, the head casting and intake manifold is for sure. the rest is really a frankenstein setup. 1.5l vx block, 1.6l rods/pistons. higher compression than the z6, more aggressive camshaft. theres a bit of differances. the output is nearly the same though. and its a worthwhile Dseries.
