Thermo tach jumps up !!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!

Default Thermo tach jumps up !!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!

Ok..... My Engine temp sensor??? the tach in the dash..... will go all the way up to hot and i can hit the cluster and it will go back to normal.. i'm tired of hitting it.

Um it was a joke i was just wondering why tach would jump up then drop again... and what is ghey? gay?.... I dont get it....

thats stupid, maybe try testing the sensor, see if its within voltage range. IT might be reading too high of voltage making it shoot up and might burn out your temp guage in the cluster.

Mine did the Same thing..took out the cluster and found out that the back of the cluster was burnt..on the curcuit board....i changed mine and prolem was gone..

easy fix.

clean the connectors on the back of the cluster.

explain, (yes, dummy talk please )

I have the same problem. I tried tightening all the screws on the back and no change.

just clean the harness plugs with a pencil eraser. bad grounding.

Had this problem with the temp gauge, found loose screw to gauge on back of cluster. Tightening it solved my problem.
