Default E Break Light problem

So a recently a periodic click turned into a rattle in my right rear wheel. Turns out the break pads were lose. Last nite i took it apart and bent some of the clips to help keep the pads in place to stop the rattling. HOWEVER, I'm still getting long flashes from my 'Emergency Break" Light--not in any particular signal/pattern.

My question, is there any other meaning to that light other than that the emergency break is engauged? (93 Delsol Si FYI)

What im thinking (because i didn't do it last nite) is that I probably should have lube up the pads. No?

thanks ahead of time

Yes - it also serves as a warning light for low fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. Check your brake fluid level and add as necessary.

A low fluid level could indicate either worn out pads or a leak in the system somewhere.

If the fluid level is normal, there could be a problem with the switch on the e-brake mechanism that activates the light.

if the fluid level is normal it could also be a faulty M.C. reservoir cap
