Vegas people heads up!!! Stolen hatch.
Woke up this morning to find my silver hatch gone. :-(
I feel horrible right now, it has barely been a year since I converted it to manual and did my head swap.. Any ways keep your eyes out. Its a silver hatch, 99 si wheels, orange ksports. No tint on the windows and stock exhaust. Last seen next to my house at 8:30 last night. I live near boulder and russel.

Hatch was recovered!!!

BASTARDS, that thing is beautiful. I feel like **** for you man. But this is the same reason i bought a quick realease hub for my baby, and others stuff. I truly hope you get it back in decent shape.
No alarm, I had an alarm on my ranger and it diddnt stop those f@cks from breaking into it 3 times. Sad part is that I was planning on putting a kill switch it in 2 weeks.
I hope I will see it again. I dont think I have the energy or will to build another hatch and yet there is not another car on the market that I am remotely interested in.
Anyways, I'll update 4gcivic.net later tomorrow.

something I posted on anaother thread like this...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by badboyr66 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">lol why is everyone making such a big deal...... do what I did with my sirens. I even had a guy say that he could stay in the car with it going off.... it was a $5 bet I would not trust an alarm that can go off while you are driving down the road.....if your alarm goes off while you are driving down the road... means it is not working right and should not be trusted to work on your car.
i was a kid once and can admit I have stolen. We did not take stereos... we too the entire car. A few things to point out.
1. If someone wants your car... or whats in it bad enough... the WILL get it..no matter what alarm you have. Nothing will really keep anyone out if they want in bad enough.
2. An alarm is a tactic just to prevent thieves from WANTING to get into your car. It is much easier to go to the next car without the red blinking light.
3. Take it a step further. I made it a point to install the two small pain generators in the car... very loud. If you get in... you will wish you didn't
4. I also made it a point to order a $30 camera system from ebay. It has no sound but can see in complete darkness. I ran it to a VCR that is set to record at midnight till 7 am...every night
5. All alarms are not created equal. Take the time to go about and look at all your options and standard features. Make it a point to check from shop to shop to see what they offer and for what price.
6. A good installer will put the brain of the alarm deep up in the dash and hard to get too. You have no idea how easy it is to have an alarm go off.... reach underneath the dash for the bundle of wires that do not feel factory... or just follow the LED to the brain. Then the thief simply unplugs it... and it shuts off. Putting the LED in a custom place will tell the thief that the owner was willing to throw down the cash for a good install and is not cheaply done. Same thing with a prox aka...radar sensor.
7. Two words.....STARTER KILL. This is something that is really overlooked ALOT. I worked at a shop for a very long time and can say maybe only 20% of the alarms installed have this. Most places do not include it in the installed price... but we charged $20... cheap insurance. Just ask your sales person if they charge extra for that.
8. Make sure your alarm is adjusted the right way. You do do not want it going off just by someone walking by... but then you wanna make sure it will go off or warn someone away as needed
i am sure there are some things I am overlooking but again here is the extras I have on my CRX
two pain generators installed in the car
starter kill
prox sensor
backup battery
glass breakage sensor

The Official EF Security Thread:

The car was found at an apartment complex on Charleston and Nellis. Looks like a joyride only. The only damage that I can see was to the ignition and the battery was dead. I havent looked underneath the car yet but everything looked and felt right as I drove her out of the complex. My stereo was untouched and my cd's were even still in the glove box.
So glad to have her back home again
So glad to have her back home again
I'm gonna go adopt the meanest pit bull I can find and train it to sleep in the civic
Yeah I am reading the civic security thread right now, I have lots of plans.
