Default ITR steering wheel in a ef???

I want to get a JDM DC2 ITR steering wheel for my 91 civic. I have a friend with a 93 civic and he said that he didn't need any kind of adapter plate for his to go in. But he wasn't sure about my car. So do i need a adapter plate for my car??
Thanks,
Mike

I do believe you need an adapter plate, or a momo/sparco hub.

I modified the back of the wheel as well as the steering shaft, and the wheel now fits just like OEM (the nut fits on the threads properly)

ok so i dont' need a new hub? I just need to get the wheel and figure out how to mod it to work. Is that right?

Sorry just still a little confused because I have 2 people saying that I can use a momo hub and it works fine, then i have 2 people saying that i just need to mod the hub on the ITR wheel.

LOL wow i guess alot of people want to do this.. Well if no one can answer for sure I guess i might just have to wait the 2 weeks it is going to take for my wheel to get here. And you better belive that i will write up in detail and ONCE AND FOR ALL what you have to do to put a ITR wheel in a EF.

And as for price i think i got a pretty good deal. Most run anywhere from 300-400, and on jdmshit.com they are even $600!!! I got mine on ebay for 265 shipped from japan. So I think i got a good deal, and the pics look like it is in really good condition! Can't wait to get it.

Strangle them. You can NOT use an aftermarket steering hub with that wheel.

2 stupid questions,
First.. how do i get the center out of the stock wheel?? I know that here is a big bolt in there that i need to pull off, but how do i get the center out to get to the bolt?? I took a quick look at it today and i can't figure it out. I also have cruise control.. so keep that in mind. I know that is going to have to go with the new wheel. DAMN!!!

Second.. how easy is it to put that teg cluster in a EF.. It does look good, and if you haven't noticed yet, im all up for doing different parts in my ef to make it look newer and better.. like the ITR steering wheel and i already have a GSR center console.

Pop it off with a small screwdriver. Put the blade on the outer edge of the H emblem and pry it out.

umm.. I don't think i have the same wheel that you are thinking about.. I have a LX 4 door.. my wheel has like four spokes.. Not the normal 2 that are on DX's. So im pretty sure my H doesn't pop out.. but i know that something has to come out. Ill take a better look at it tomorrow.. Just a little to late to do it tonight. I jus don't want to start pulling on stuff to hard and break it.

im pretty sure you get a flat screwdriver, pry out the front cover, and you will see a 19mm nut, and taht's it.

no i took a better look at it today.. and there are 4 screws in the back that i have to take out, and that pops off the center.. and im sure the 19mm nut will be under there. I just don't feel like doing that till I have the new wheel in my hands.

just unvelcro the whole center section piece at the back and pull it off the wheel when you need to go mount it. if you try and take out the horn button you will scratch it.

jdm itr non-srs steering wheel bolts in to 88-91 Civic/CRX.
