mabey your fuel pump is dead and when you drive it hard it peaks? and causes not to supply enough fuel?

could be the pump, but i'm having the same problem with my h22 hatch.

upgraded to a walbro 255 & still having the occasional CEL 43
I've heard that a bad O2 can casue it, but i was getting CEL 1(bad o2) with it...got a new O2...it fixed the CEL1 but the 43 still comes back occasionally.

my runs fine too but occasionally will stumble when sitting @ idle & this is when it throws the CEL..plus its a little stubborn to startup so i'm leaning towards the Fuel pressure regulator.

i'm going to replace that next & see what happens

CEL 43 is a Pain in the ***!
