Default Engine type for EK 4D

My 98 Civic is nearing 300,000kms with a d16y7
I would love to do a swap soon as the motor is starting to get tired.
body interior and suspension are like new.
I was thinking a few things.
A Simple B18B OBD2 swap. (other than ecu, motor, tranny, axles) what will I need.
or
B) More simple d16y8 with computer so I only need a motor.
Thanks in advance for your input.
I would like to keep it modest as its just a daily driver but a little extra power would be nice.
