*car wont run!

i just replaced my alternator and battery. i was driving and my gauges went out and my car slowly died.

what could this be? how could i fix it?

you left a wire loose or connection. sounds like the its running on the battery and then it died.

everything is on and tight, could i have gotten a bad alternator( rebuilt from napa.)
and why would my gauges have gone out before the car died?

could be a defective alternator. the gauges always quit working before the car dies.
