87 HF swaps?
i've been planning on bringing my 87 hf to the scrap yard. but recently i've found out that u CAN swap motors into an hf (sorry i've been living under a rock) and it seems like a nice first-project. what sorta motors can top the 60hp stock motor? are there any write-ups on this?
if this goes through, i might just fix the frame, throw out unneccesary interior crap, and make it a 1500lb track car. hm?

yeah....theres no kit for it so i'd have to pressurize the fuel lines myself..somehow. since i dont even know HOW to swap an engine yet, i think i might have to abandon her.
dont you dare
got to a junk yard get everything from an EFI ef (crx, hatch, wagon, sedan) and by it all cheap and go for it. also lets see some pics i love 1st gen crx (i assume its a rex)

all i've got is insurance photos that i had to take when i got t-boned. but i'll post one so u get the idea of how crapped my car has become. it may not look bad from the outside, but the ride itself feels like the car's rear shifts left and right whenever i go over any bumps/dips.

btw i'm about to pick up a 90 si soooo it's not like i'm disowning crx's, just the one that's been over-used and abused.
on the other hand, does anybody have any threads to carbed rexes that've been improved upon?

If it feels like it's shifting left and right check the panhard bar (right in front of the rear axle). Sometimes the mount rusts out or the bar breaks, easy fix if that's the problem.

what's it look like? got a pic? i'm gunna go try looking but i doubt i'll find it because when my mech took a look underneath the car, he didn't see anything wrong on the outside.
You see the "appendage" sticking out behind the axle on the left hand side of the pic? That's what the panhard bar mounts to, unfortunately the axle blocks the view of the bar in this pic.
