D15B7 Vtec Conversion *need advice*
ok so i just recently bought a 1994 Del Sol. its a D15B7 block w/106K mi. the guy i bought it from has been a mechanic for 10 years and he built the engine himself and it runs really good. But he told me it was Vtec when i bought it; but once i put an AEM air intake on it, my cousin was with me and showed me there was no Vtec solenoid.. So its my dumb fault i didn't look myself when i got it but its still a pretty nice car over all.. So right now i would really like to make it Vtec. I don't really have alot of money to do a full engine swap so would it be cool to do a Vtec conversion on this engine? and if so wut are all the pieces that i would need, and around how much would it cost total?
Do a search on "Mini Me" conversions, thats where you keep the block you have in the car now and put a Vtec head on the motor.
If you do that, your going to need the head, ECU, and some other misc parts. The car is already wired for Vtec to the engine bay so its just a matter of extending the one wire for the solinoide.
Bout the best and cheapest option in my opinion.

i disagree, a mini-me is gonna cost around $400-600 depending on how far you go with new parts, you can get a JDM d15b vtec for that shipped to your door, and will know it makes 130hp at the flywheel. i havent seen a mini=me make close to that yet.
